Active pension: Continuing to work can be worthwhile
Since January 2026 can remain tax-free up to 2.000 Euro wages per month if the requirements are met. This applies from the following month after reaching the statutory age limit for beneficiary non-self-employed jobs. Minijobs and self-employment are excluded.
The active pension is a tax allowance, not an additional pension payment. Whether it applies to your planned work must be checked on the basis of your employment relationship.
